Haut-Hisse looks at what lies behind the things we think we know: how a brand really makes money, why a price ends in 99, what put an end to Concorde, what an iconic character earns its creator. Every article starts from a specific question and answers it with verifiable facts.
What we publish
Our articles are organized into seven topics:
- Brand Stories: business models, the decisions that made or broke a company.
- Money Psychology: the mechanisms that shape our spending, and consumer traps.
- Behind the Story: the history and economics of films, shows and characters.
- Ads & Marketing Decoded: how an ad or a campaign tries to win us over.
- Mental Models: useful ideas for better decisions, traced to their source.
- Engineering Failures: what went wrong, according to the investigation reports.
- Charisma & Communication: what makes someone compelling to listen to, with examples.
Our method
We look for primary sources first: annual reports and company filings, official investigation reports, published studies, period archives. Every figure is linked to its source in the text, and all sources are listed at the end of the article. When something isn’t established, we say so rather than filling the gap with an estimate.
We use artificial intelligence tools for desk research, for drafting a first version and for producing some visuals. A second check covers facts and figures, and a human reads every article before it goes live. The details are in our editorial policy.
Who writes
Articles are signed by Azzedine Guettouche, the site’s founder. They are produced using the method above and he reads them before publication. In advertising breakdowns, he gives a personal analysis in the first person.
